Here I am, headed down the road with none other than the famouse "Commander Fun" at my side! That's right! I'm married to Janey Tiebo, super-action hero, "vegas-legs", Proverbs 31-"plus", the one, the only ... "Commander Fun!" Oh, and she's also my "ace" navigator too! (GPS-qualified)
Reaching around and snapping a shot with a TREO 650 while speeding down the road at 70mph is a real challenge! To top it all off, it was rather windy that day! Here's a sample of my photo work ... not bad, eh? I shot this going down the road "and" while driving!
And there is Mom (my mother-in-law) in the middle, trying hard (even with the noise) to figure out how to tell us where we need to go. She is a lot of fun! I do "tease her"! Hey! I'm from Texas! Is there any other way? You should have seen the look on her face when I told her we had decided to make the trip with the Jeeps top "DOWN" all the way! Of course, we didn't! But the look? It was "priceless!"

The above pics are another "trick shot" (while driving) ... on the left is John, our 8yr old son, and the next pic is the 83yr old adventurist, my mother-in-law extraordinaire, Ellen Fletcher! John is checking up on his girlfriend - "DAD!" - oh, uh, his "friend" back at home using his new cell phone!
You always know that your "ride" is comfortable when you see someone "sleeping" during a trip! Yeah, the route back to Austin was a long one, and John was well "spent" after the weekend, but this part right here is what makes a family special. I love this shot!
He slept all the way back to San Antonio, where we stopped at Cracker Barrel for a well deserved meal (or breakfast, in my case!) and some souvenir shopping!

Though Mom was a "good sport" about it, I think she was "relieved" to be off-the-road for a bit! Can you tell?
